I haven’t been kept in the loop as much as I had hoped, but there have been a lot of position changes lately.
Nanook was evaluated by a behavioral specialist a couple of weeks after he left my home. The evaluator observed him for a while, interviewed the shelter, and interviewed me.
Her evaluation showed that Nanook had some behavioral issues (I was’t privy to the specifics) but with enough training he should be able to be re-homed.
He apparently started training almost immediately, but with a system no one was ecstatic over. I saw him a few times after and he didn’t seem any different, but training takes time!
Nanook left the shelter a couple of weeks ago. I think that he has been moved into another breed specific rescue group who has more money/abilities to train him.
When I get to the shelter in a week or two, I hope to be able to discover more about Nanook.
