Feminine Abnormality

Musings of an anomalous girl who is inspired by far too many things!

Thank you to all of my followers--you're awesome!

Randomness…

Wow, I haven’t done one of these guys since the New Year…okee dokee:

Randomness:

~ Finally bought a new (hm, ok, old) car. She’s a tough little forest green ‘98 Honda CRV. Not exactly my dream girl, but she’s as hearty as they come and should last a few more years. Plus the price was right (bought her out-right with money from the insurance company)!

~ Haven’t been to a dance or exercise class this entire year yet…I’m still experiencing a lot of back pain. I’m going to try and take a gently yoga class soon, just to ease back into it a bit.

~ My baby Freckles is the absolute best!!! Can’t wait to start puppy classes with him on the 18th!!!

~ I’m loving my new hair!!!

~ I’ve decided that (as soon as I’m back to normal) I’m going to get off my ass this year and start teaching Zumba®…no more excuses…go for it! :-D And I’m totally excited to do so!

~ Speaking of Zumba®, I want to get my Zumbatomic® license this year…what a great way to inspire little ones to lead an active and healthy life!?

~ I’ve decided that as soon as it’s getting to be Spring, I’m going to plant a whole buch of bright flowers in the front garden planter to spruce up the outside of the house! Not sure what to go for yet, but it’ll look fab!

~ I think I’ve found a dress to wear to the launch party; it’s an unknown designer, edgy, and can be dressed up or down! Plus it was $29!!! Yippee!!

~ My Mom has finally been allowed to start: PT, OT, Aqua Therapy (one and a half weeks so far) and she’s lined up to have both an Eye and a Nose surgery in the next few weeks! Soooo…hopefully she will start to re-gain some of her strength, confidence, and, as soon as the surgeries are done, she should start to sleep and breath better! :-) Long time coming, but fingers crossed!

~ I’m jazzed to start painting the house again (probably at the end of March) and actually decorating my space upstairs, which has become a dumping ground for my clothes and a playground for the cats! ;-)

Alright, I think you’ve been officially caught up!

How have all of you been doing since the New Year?!!!

Dogs don’t judge. They provide unconditional love & support. If you’re being bullied, or not living up to someone else’s expectations, check out this video where you will be immediately accepted and loved for who you are by a young golden retriever named Ricochet. She has been where you are!

I adore Surf Dog Ricochet…she’s an amazing creature! Check her out on Facebook!

I’m pretty sure this is exactly how two out of the three feel!

In honor of dear old Groundhog’s day…I present one of the funniest movies!!

Don’t drive angry. Don’t drive angry!

Freckles got his very first big boy tag in the mail yesterday!

It’s so beautiful (a 3/4 inch oxidized bronze tag with hammered edges and a copper moon with his name on the front and my phone number on the back)! If you are looking for unique tags, I urge you to check out Fetch A Passion Tags on Etsy! The sellers are great, incredibly talented, and the tags are really affordable!

I’m so glad that I bought before Facebook moved to Menlo Park and now even happier that I bought before they filed for their IPO!!!

The prices just today have started to soar!!

Wow!

Top five regrets of the dying

There was no mention of more sex or bungee jumps. A palliative nurse who has counselled the dying in their last days has revealed the most common regrets we have at the end of our lives. And among the top, from men in particular, is ‘I wish I hadn’t worked so hard’.

:-D Eeek, just found out that PetExpo is in town this weekend!

I totally want to go! Shorty is going to be talking, along with hundred of exhibitors and tons of rescues! This could be so much fun…and I can bring Freckles!

If I can make it work for my schedule, I’m going to go!!!

Happiness is the result of my decision to be happy. It is a feeling I tap into, not an outcome of events. I decide to be happy and commit myself to making happiness my state of mind. I don’t allow a set of circumstances to do it for me.

You think this is just another day in your life. It’s not just another day — it’s the one day that is given to you, today. It’s given to you, it’s a gift. It’s the only gift that you have right now, and the only appropriate response is gratefulness. If you do nothing else but to cultivate that response to the great gift that this unique day is, if you learn to respond as if it were the first day in your life, and the very last day, then you would have spent this day very well.
